Cango Marathon

The Cango Marathon proved to be a tough race once again. It was very hot on the day but in spite of the heat, the Cango was mostly beaten down by the Red Army. Gerhardt Roux and Werner Botha with sub 4’s, Cliff Wallace missing by seconds! Yolanda Barnard ran very well putting in the negative split!

Phobians Pretoria Marathon

A long travel and bumping into a berg wind ridden marathon, Rudolf got his qualifying time onto the list. Well done Rudolf!

Hemel & Aarde Marathon

It is not often on Finish Time you can click “Top 10 Category Results” and get all the members results! This is what happened on the inaugural Hemel & Aarde marathon. Vicki smashed the marathon with a 7th category place and Cliff respected and conquered another marathon fresh off his Cango legs with an 8th place overall! You make us proud!

Biathlon

Biathlon is not easy when it is in 40 degree weather. 🌞πŸ₯΅

Well done to Ebenette and Henriette for sneaking in some quick times! Ebenette secured a 5th place overall girls u/11 and Henriette showed great form by taking 2nd place for vet ladies

Eugene Marais took the silver and is include in the Eden Team that will partake in the South African Biathlon Champs

Oubos MTB

Joffrey found that bundu bashing in the Outeniqua mountains needs at least 2 wash cycles to get the dirt off from the Ou Bos! A great 9th Overall place! Well Done

Nelson Mandela Bay Marathon

Eugene was out on business and interrupted it with a blistering 10 km around the friendly windy city!

3rd Triathlon League

Short triathlons leave zero room for error! Rudolf putting in the long day in the sun! Joffrey getting his entry fees back by winning the Super Sprint. There was some new comers as well, Liesl Barnard who joined the team on the last meet of the season. Well done to all

Edenvale Half Marathon

The 2019 travelling tourist was travelling again! Good solid stable run at higher altitude! Well done Cliff! πŸ‘¨β€βœˆπŸ’ͺπŸƒβ€β™‚πŸŽ–

Cape Town Cycle Tour

The Cape Town Cycle Tour was calling Henry and William and boy did they deliver! Henry was far below sub 4 hours but William came back from sickness only to completely smash the route to pieces!

Knysna Head Marathon

 

The Knysna Heads Race found a way to fit into the calendar so well that we had a fantastic turnout from the Red Army. The “gees” was awesome! We are growing in attendance and it is noted by other clubs.πŸ’ͺTEN marathoners took part and that is so encouraging! A New Record!! Give yourself a Bells on that one!
The day belonged to Neil for his category win, Yolandi (vd Berg) for smashing 4 hours on a knee problematic marathon and Berno for the finishing effort at the sub 4 hour mark! Both Standers making 4 points well done Beatrix!
