The annual Sanlam Cape Town Marathon took place on Sunday 15 September 2019. A good number of club runners took part in this event.
The winner from our club was Gerhardt Roux in an excellent time of 3:47:59 giving him good seeds at Two Oceans C and Comrades D. Werner Botha finished in a good time of 4:05:04 also qualifying for Two Oceans and Comrades.
We had two first timers in the form of Adele Vorster and Yolandi van den Berg.
Yolandi making it look easy with a great time of 4:10:15 for her first marathon. She also qualified for Two Oceans Ultra and Comrades 2020
Berno Stander also completed the race in a great time of 4:33:26, giving him Two Oceans and Comrades qualifiers.

Ilse Schoeman finished her 3rd Cape Town Marathon in a good time of 5:04:18 running with her sister who did her first! Great spirit there supporting her sis!
Chantel van den Heever shaved 21 minutes of her previous time to finish in a time of 5:19:07. Clayton Thorpe also did his 3rd Cape Town and finished in a time of 5:53:27. Well done guys!
Neil Harlow did the 10km peace run and his time was 1:06:00, well done Neil!
