A great number of Red Team runners set out on Sunday 17 March for the annual Knysna Heads 42.2, 21.1 and 10 km races. Once again all of our runners did their best and finished their respective races. To some it was a walk in the park, others had to bite down on their teeth and dig deep but all came home with another medal in the bag.
Gerhardt Roux again showed strong from and excellent running with a 3:39:45 for the marathon. He has C seeding for Comrades and we expect a great run from him! Well done Gerhardt, hard work and commitment pays of!
Andrew delivered a good time of 4:15:37. He has a D seeding for Comrades.
Our strong husband and wife team ran with precision and stuck to their plan. They finished super strong and ready to turn back and complete another marathon. Their time was 4:33:03
This picture encapsulate the determination of these two seasoned runners. An inspiration to young ones who is just starting out, be consistent, work hard, be determinant, never give up! Well done to Robbie Joubert with a time of 4:39:07 and Cliff hot on his heels with 4:39:09.
Eugene ran a very good half marathon in a time of 1:41:03. Well done Eugene, always consistent!
Its great to see Yolandi back on from again and running well, 21.1km in a time of 1:55:56
Liezel Snyman came in with a time of 1:58:38 followed by Adele in a time of 2:23:30. Gayle and Stephan husband and wife duo came in at 2:30:12
Jane rounded of the 21.1 km race with a good performance 2:48:04, well done Jane!
In the 10km race we had some great running, our new member, Liezl Scott broke an hour with a time of 59:10:00, I see some impressive times coming from her. Marie came in at 1:05:02, always a pleasure to see her running with a huge smile. Evette was our only walker for the day and completed the 10km in a time of 1:18:04. Debbie as always brought up the rear in a time of 1:22:26.
